Experience

John Weinholtz concentrates in defending product liability and toxic tort cases and has over 20 years of experience defending product manufacturers and sellers. Mr. Weinholtz has extensive experience in mass tort cases, including the Love Canal litigation. He also is experienced in defending cases involving industrial machinery and consumer products, asbestos, silica, chemical products, cars, trucks, and construction equipment. Further, he is experienced in class action litigation and in counseling clients on product recall issues and working with state and federal agencies in conducting recalls.

Mr. Weinholtz has lectured extensively on subjects including toxic tort and environmental lawsuits, product warnings, trial techniques including the examination of expert witnesses, rules of federal and state practice, and federal and state legislation regarding class actions and product liability law.

Mr. Weinholtz is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York.

Pro Bono

As part of a commitment to give back to the community, Mr. Weinholtz has dedicated substantial time to pro bono matters. He also is a member of the firm's Pro Bono Committee, which formulates policy and strategy for pro bono efforts on a firm-wide and national level, and he is the Buffalo Office coordinator for local pro bono efforts.
